ASSESSMENT OPTIONS
Assessments and evaluations are crucial as they provide a clear understanding of your current physical capabilities and movement patterns. By identifying strengths and areas for improvement, we can create a customized training program tailored to your needs. These insights help us focus on mobility, stability, and strength—key factors that impact your swing and injury prevention. With measurable data, we can track your progress and ensure that your training is purposeful and aligned with your goals.
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness Assessment
The TPI Golf Fitness Assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that examines your physical capabilities in relation to golf performance. It focuses on key areas such as mobility, stability, strength, balance, and flexibility to identify any limitations or imbalances that may affect your swing mechanics. By assessing factors like hip rotation, posture, core strength, and range of motion, the TPI assessment provides valuable insights into how your body moves during the golf swing. This information helps create a personalised fitness program aimed at improving performance, preventing injuries, and optimising your overall golf game.
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Power Assessment
The TPI Golf Power Assessment is designed to evaluate your ability to generate and transfer power through your golf swing. It focuses on key components such as strength, explosiveness, and the ability to harness ground force to maximize clubhead speed. By assessing areas like core power, rotational strength, and lower body stability, the assessment identifies factors that impact your power output. The results guide the development of a customized training plan to enhance your speed, increase distance, and improve your overall performance on the course.
3D Biomechanics Assessment Powered By SportsBox
The 3D Biomechanics Assessment uses advanced marker less motion capture technology to analyze your golf swing in three dimensions, providing precise data on your body’s movement patterns throughout the swing. This assessment evaluates key metrics like joint angles, rotation, and body positioning to identify inefficiencies, imbalances, or limitations in your technique. By breaking down your swing from multiple angles, we can pinpoint areas for improvement that traditional video analysis might miss. The data-driven insights allow for a highly tailored training approach to optimize performance, enhance consistency, and prevent injury.

JUNIOR GOLF PERFORMANCE PATHWAY (AGES 14+)
Gym-based physical development for committed junior golfers ready to train like athletes. This program is designed for junior golfers who are serious about improving their performance and understand that better golf starts with a better-moving, stronger, more resilient body. This is not golf lessons and it is not general fitness. It is structured physical preparation to support long-term golf performance.
👉 Apply for the Junior Performance Pathway
-
This pathway is suitable for junior golfers who:
Are 14 years or older
Are actively playing, training, or competing in golf
Are motivated to improve performance, not just “get fitter”
Are ready to train in a structured gym environment
Want to develop strength, stability, speed, and durability for golf
Younger juniors may be considered by application where maturity, physical readiness, and golfing commitment are clearly demonstrated.
This program is not suitable for:
Beginners or casual golfers
General fitness or group exercise participants
Acceptance is based on readiness and intent — not age alone.
-
As junior golfers progress, physical limitations increasingly influence performance.
Strength, mobility, balance, and control underpin:
Swing consistency
Clubhead speed
Injury resilience
The ability to train and compete more frequently
During adolescence, growth spurts and increased playing loads can expose weaknesses that limit performance or increase injury risk.
Physical preparation helps juniors move better, swing more efficiently, and sustain performance over time.
At Fit To Play, we treat junior golfers as developing athletes, not just players who happen to be young.
-
All training is conducted exclusively in the gym environment and is designed to complement existing golf skills.
Movement & Stability
Pelvic and trunk control
Joint stability for rotation
Efficient movement patterns specific to golf
Strength & Power

Managing physical load during training and competition periods
The goal is to help juniors understand how their body influences their golf and how to prepare properly to perform.
-
The Junior Performance Pathway follows a clear progression based on age, maturity, and training experience:
Performance Foundations (14–16)
Building movement quality, stability, and basic strength.
Strength & Speed Development (15–17)
Developing usable power and improving athletic capacity for golf.
Performance Squad (16–18)
Advanced preparation for competitive golf, tournament loads, and consistency.
Elite / Pathway Athlete (16+)
Individualised physical development support for juniors pursuing high-level amateur, college, or professional pathways.
Progression is guided by readiness, not timelines.
